Career Tools is a collection of resources, workshops, and networking opportunities geared towards advancing Portland's design community. All events and resources posted to this cite are curated by AIGA Portland in order to provide helpful, tailored, accurate content. AIGA Portland’s ambition is to be a go-to professional development resource for Portland’s design community for people at every stage of their career. Career Tools supports professional development through two formats: events in the form of quarterly workshop events as well as field trips hosted by local organizations and companies, and resources in the form of the online content library you are currently visiting.
THE SITE
The Career Tools site is a hub of information, summaries, and links to resources that you can use to launch, grow, or change your career. Practitioners who are just entering the scene or well-established in their field all have opportunities for growth.
WORKSHOPS
Career Tools hosts workshops on a quarterly basis at sites throughout Portland. The workshops are active, short in duration, and create structured opportunities to interact with fellow designers and creatives from the city of Portland. Visit our events page for more information on up-coming events.
FIELD TRIPS
On occasion, Career Tools works with local partners on one-off events throughout the Portland area. These events often focus on particular resources in the community or unique offerings in the region. All field trips are also listed on the events page with relevant information on the upcoming event.
